Moccasin Trail Walk with Knowledge Keeper Stephen Paquette

Posted on September 25, 2024

September 20 to October 13, 2024

Explore the history of Oakville’s lands from an Indigenous perspective by taking a walk along the Moccasin Trails! Located in Lion’s Valley Park, you can learn about the history you were not taught in school and explore the natural beauty of the Sixteen Mile Creek.

The Moccasin Trail walk is offered in two-formats; walk the trail as a self-guided tour by following the plaques along the trail, or join Indigenous Knowledge Guide, Stephen Paquette, in a guided video which gives visitors the opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of the Indigenous heritage in Oakville as well as how we can all be stewards of the land on which we live, work and play.

*If you wish to go to the location of the Moccasin Trail markers you can find these trails in Oakville at Lions Valley Park and Along Bronte Creek*
