Jane Ngobia Ph.D.
Jane Ngobia Ph.D. is the Vice President, Inclusive Communities at Sheridan College in Canada. She has held progressive leadership positions spanning more than 15 years locally and abroad within the post-secondary sector. Jane is described as a DEI coach, community builder and empathetic change agent. In April 2021, she was recognized by The Globe and Mail as a recipient of the 2021 Best Executive Award for her work in advancing equity, diversity and inclusion (EDI) at Sheridan and beyond. Over the years, she has launched and overseen pan-institutional initiatives to facilitate systemic and institutional equity.
In June 2022, Dr. Ngobia was recognized with a Silver Award of Excellence for Leadership in Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) by the World Federation of Colleges and Polytechnics (WFCP).
Since joining Sheridan in 2019, Dr. Ngobia has helped the college take strong, definitive steps to embed EDI principles across learning, business operations and decision-making processes. This has led to Sheridan being recognized by FORBES 2022 as top ten best diversity employer.
Jane’s passionate pursuit of an equitably shared world has moved her to extend her personal and professional capital towards fostering a culture of care and justice for all.
