Don Pangman
Don Pangman is the Founder of ArtHouse, a Halton based charitable organization which provides FREE Arts programs for vulnerable children and youth from 7–17 who may not have any access to arts programs. Celebrating its 13TH Anniversary in June 2022, ArtHouse has served over 10,000 young people with 699 programs at 90 safe and accessible locations throughout Halton. ArtHouse remains the only organization of its kind serving young people throughout Halton.
Don’s love for the arts comes naturally, but it might well have been his volunteer involvement with the United Way of Oakville in the late 90’s and subsequent participation on the Oakville Community Foundation Board that convinced him to create an arts organization to support young people.
Don is the recipient of Rotary International Foundation’s Paul Harris Award, the United Way Chair’s Award in 2004, the McPhie Award from the Children’s Aid Foundation of Halton, Oakville’s Community Spirit Award in the Arts and in 2012 he was presented with The Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal. In 2016 he was honoured to be named a Life Governor of St. Mildred’s-Lightbourn School.
Don and Judi have raised 5 children and have 12 grandchildren.
